Summary

Currently the artists and albums pages will just show the items listed "effectively" oldest to newest (newest at the top of the page). So basically coming from the database it will FILO, thus favoring newer content at the top of the page.

Details

That said, it might be nice to have sorting options either for the page and / or the dropdown. Most obvious is alpha sort. Maybe also a search feature?
