We are running a Windows Virtual Desktop Environment, based on Windows 10 Multi-Session. The OS describes itself as Windows 10 Enterprise for Virtual Desktops; when I try and run the executable it reports that "This program works only on Windows 10". Can ConfigureDefender be configured to run on this environment?

No, I am afraid.
ConfigureDefender was not prepared to work with Windows 10 Enterprise for Virtual Desktops and was not tested in such an environment.

use normal tools as for Windows 10 Enterprise:

  • Active Directory & Group Policy, or
  • Local Group Policy, or
  • PowerShell commandlet for Defender, or
  • PowerShell DSC
