I'm wondering why the tmp directory needs to be in g/data

cosima-recipes/Recipes/regional-mom6-forced-by-access-om2.ipynb

Line 2470 in 56ff1a2

"tmp_dir = f\"{gdata}/{expt_name}\"\n",

If it's temporary, as the name suggests, then doesn't the scratch seems a better place for it?
