After multiple tries of installing a fednode, I have noticed that the database symlinks are NOT created in the initial install... But, if a fednode uninstall is run, and then a fednode install base master is run a second time, the symlinks WILL be created in this second run.

can confirm. Seeing same behavior on a brand new fednode install
