No effect in blender 3.3.1 #1

I'm not exactly sure how to even explain what's happening because of how little info I have. I get no errors, and the script does duplicate each object. Whenever I render this though, unfortunately I get no results. Just a moving rig with no deformities or ps1 garbage. I may attempt doing this in the version of blender you used, but I'm not sure if that would make any difference.

Have you applied modifiers ? Do you see vertex being modified when script is running (multiple dots until 'snapped' in console) ?

I actually have found out how to fix this, for some reason I just had to entirely reinstall blender. Not exactly sure what happened but thanks for the help nonetheless!
