I don't know if you guys have heard of usability heuristics, but it's a great way to evaluate your site's UX ("heuristic" is just an annoying word for "guideline" by the way).

I'd like to suggest that you highlight the page your user is on in the navigation, like so:

I think this would help you achieve:

  • Visibility of System Status (the user knows where they are on your site)
  • Consistency and Standards (users expect to be able to see where they are)
