How do I connect a Fluid Infuser to a water pipe?

I am trying to connect a water pipe to a Fluid Infuser MK1.

I tried putting the pipe to every single surface of the infuser. I tried rotating the infuser with a wrench. I tried adding an output servo to a pump and/or a retriever servo to the infuser. Nothing worked. (The pipe and pump are both from Industrial Revolution, so no other mod there).

The same pump and pipes are connected to a Tech Reborn industrial grinder, and they work there.

What am I missing?
