@martingem, no I'm not selling the games. The "GC Homebrew Box" is just my fancy way of saying "Shipping & Handling". By separating that out I can keep the cost of the individual items low (and otherwise I wouldn't be able to sell things like the SD2SP2 because the cost of shipping is more than the cost of the item). |

@martingem Try here instead: https://ebay.us/DjqS0H (USA Seller SD Gecko $6, free shipping) Why I can't sell SD Geckos (GC Memory Card SD Adapter)I would have liked to get SD Geckos as well, but I would have to sell them as an $8 add-on item. If I wanted to sell just one by itself it would have to be $20 (to include shipping and handling). Since other USA-based sellers are doing free shipping at $5-$6, I just don't see how I could compete or provide real value. If I could source them for $2/each (including amortized shipping cost) then I could sell them as an add-on only item for $4 or $5 and provide value, but I haven't been able to find a supplier at a price point where I could sell them sustainably. As for now, I'll just say "Hey, here's an affiliate link to a better deal that I could offer, use that". :) |

@coolaj86 actually since I'm from Canada it's way less via Aliexpress ($5.95+$12.96 vs ali's 6.22$ combined) I'd suggest other Canadians do the same.. :) |

Just came across your video, written guide, and this page. Thanks for the great resources!
One thing I was not 100% clear on - would I still need an SD Gecko if my GC can use the SD2SP2? I am trying to figure out if my process would entail 2 or 3 (or 4?) memory devices total. My understanding is that the following entities are all in play:
Basically wondering which of the above will end up "living" on the SD2SP2, the 1st Hacked GameSave Card, my own memory card, the SD Gecko (if that's in play), etc. Sorry for all the noobish questions! |
