how images are played?

The Images are played alfabetically or how? Is there a way to change the images order? For example juming to an image number, like this fbi does? https://linux.die.net/man/1/fbi
I found some info here, could you make a little demo?
omxiv [OPTIONS] image1 [image2] ...
omxiv [OPTIONS] directory
Without any input it will cycle through all
supported images in the current directory.
