I recently purchased an Intel RealSense L515 device. While the device is detected in other camera software, it does not appear in the Add Sources section of the RealSense Viewer. Instead, the following warnings are displayed:
Steps to Reproduce:
Connect the L515 device to the system using a USB 3.0 port.
Open RealSense Viewer.
Check if the device appears under Add Sources.
System Information:
Device Model: Intel RealSense L515
Operating System: Windows 11
Connection Type: USB 3.0
Additional Notes:
The device is recognized and works properly with other camera software, indicating that the issue may be related to the RealSense Viewer or SDK compatibility.

Intel RealSense L515 Not Detected in RealSense Viewer
Dec 28, 2024
Hi @jayasurya00098 The L515 camera model is no longer supported in recent RealSense SDK and RealSense Viewer versions as it is a retired camera model. It should be detected if you install version 2.53.1 of the SDK or Viewer, the final version to support L515.
You can install the 2.53.1 version of the SDK with an automated installer program called Intel.RealSense.SDK-WIN10 (which also works with Windows 11) or just the RealSense Viewer by downloading and running the file Intel.RealSense.Viewer.exe. These files can be found in the 'Assets' file list at the bottom of the page at the above link.
