fpc: exceptions and debugging fail us

fpc debugging and exception handling are suppose to catch buggered errors like what I discovered today thru Lazarus(not fp or the command line) with the logger unit.

I dont know why or where fileIO became such a BITCH to write code for..but someone muffed it up again....

Anyway- the problem was already patched- the code wasnt brought up to speed with the SDL variant.
