Incompatible with Gotway MSuper V3 #4
Comments
Is there a forum thread for this? Also has Gotway released an updated app yet? |
So far all the posts were on Gotway's facebook page. Sending the screen shots now. As far as I can tell the latest version of the Gotway app that is compatible with the MSuper v3s 84v is the Gotway(12).apk. I have attached this file too. By the way, love the app. Having the pebble connectivity is genius. [😊] . From: JumpMaster [email protected] Is there a forum thread for this? Also has Gotway released an updated app yet? — |
Great. And lastly do you have an msuper v3s 84v? |
Also I can't see an attachment? |
I found a version called Gotway(12).apk and it doesn't look compatible with an 84v wheel. |
I have a Msuper v3s 84v being delivered. Currently it is being held up in customs. I can let you know when it arrives if you need me to test. Otherwise I can check on the forum if anyone is willing to help out sooner. This was the version of app that Gotway was recommending for use as of the November 2nd. |
What's the license of your code ? Is it GPL v2+ ? I can't find the license description file... You should definitely put it under the GPL because some Chinese dev took your code, modified it to support 84V wheels and post this on the google play... without releasing the source. We can't be sure there is no spyware in his app version... here : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.starbros.wheellog I really think you should make this app 84V compatible and complain to google about this "copy". |
Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately if someone is going to rip off code from GitHub they really don't care about the license. The app is no longer on the Play Store though 👍 |
Hi,
Yes, I filled a complaint form on the Google play to make this app removed.
I guess it worked :)
I wish you could add the 84V support in the official app :p

Me too! If the guy told me what to change or made a pull request I'd love to add support. |
Raising this on behalf of a few of the forum members as my wheel has not yet arrived.
As stated in the description the Wheelog will not connect properly with the Gotway MSuper V3s (84 Volt Version).
