Hello TractSeg Community,
I am currently engaged in a project where my objective is to obtain pairs of symmetrical Tracts of Interest (TOIs) for further analysis. To achieve this, I have created a symmetrical group-specific FOD template, which I then used as an input for TractSeg in the hope of obtaining symmetrical output for TOIs, such as the left and right Arcuate Fasciculus (AF).
However, I am unsure if the output TOIs I obtained are truly symmetrical as intended. I would appreciate it if anyone could shed light on whether TractSeg inherently produces symmetrical TOIs when provided with a symmetrical FOD template, or if there are additional steps or considerations I need to take into account to ensure the symmetry of the output TOIs.
Furthermore, if the output TOIs are not naturally symmetrical, could anyone provide advice or methodologies that could be employed to achieve symmetrical TOIs? Any insights into best practices or adjustments to my current approach would be highly valuable.
