[Bug]: Mail Marked as Read, Returns to Unread

Minimal reproducible example

Reading items in my inbox an marking them as read, initially works as expected. However, on leaving the Inbox screen to resume reading my feed, the Inbox icon shows unread mail again. There is no new mail, it’s the same messages returned to unread status .

Expected Behavior

Items marked as read, should remain read and not visible in unread items
