programdata path has invalid ownership

Error occurs with the text:
LibGit2Sharp.LibGit2SharpException: programdata path has invalid ownership

User reported that they had an ancient ProgramData/Git folder that was missing most of its actual content. After renaming/deleting that folder, it started working again.

Confirming that I did rename the folder first to see if it was causing the problem, and it was, then I just deleted it. Definitely something to look out for for anyone else reporting this issue.

It would be nice if LibGit2Sharp did a better job of reporting errors. For example, specifying what exactly it was trying to do. I may not have ended up spending several hours trying to figure out what was going on. I knew it had something to do with Git, but had no idea what specifically. Obviously LibGit2Sharp isn't your project, but maybe you could forward this on to them?
