Would be great to have the script generate a TXT file in each folder for documenting technical notes during the transfer. Then that information can be copied into the _TECHNICAL_NOTES tag and the smartsheet.

Something similar to the TXT folder generated in makegm which includes this TXT:
"These are notes concerning the videotapes of ${GM_PROFILE_FIRST} ${GM_PROFILE_LAST} which were digitized on ${DATE_HYPHEN}. They cover technical and preservation concerns of the tapes, noted by the operator at the time of initial inspection and digitization, not content of the tapes." >> "${VHS_NOTES}"

Technical Notes - hmm we could try it as another dialog box. A pop-out window?

That might get used more than a TXT file that you have to open manually...but if you make 20+ directories, will it auto open a dialog box for each upon folder creation? Or is it a separate script? hmmm, just need to factor in that folders could be made well before the transfer is

I like the snazzy new purple "choose your directory" box!

The second purple window seems fun but comes across a bit dark. (also love the emergency exit "stop!" option. lol) It is hard to read the text.
