Does this still work on Steam VR?

The mod does not work on epic games currently. It probably wont be fixed any time soon either. Is the steam version working? I would buy the steam version if I knew that it worked. Thanks!

I have no idea either. I was playing it fine on my old pc, but I just built a new rig and it’s not working now. I tried all different methods of installation. All my new pc parts are light years better than what I was using, so I’m not sure what’s wrong

Figured it out … I had to do a fresh install of the game, left no trace of the old one behind. Then in A:I properties, I had to go to the compatibility tab and uncheck ‘disable full screen optimizations’. I had that checked during an old play through before the new pc, and Steam must remember those settings because normally games don’t install with that function enabled

Does not work on Epic. I just bought it also on Steam because I thought it'd work.

How did you get it to work? I dragged the Dll file into the main Alien Isolation folder and now it doesn't open the game

nothing special, installed the game, added the dll and started it. and by "working" i mean it'll start up and display in the headset, but it's all kinds of wonky.

Epic Games version is working for me. You need to launch SteamVR first. And also, once in the menus, go to the VR options and select SteamVR run time.

You need a fresh install of the game, don’t open the game before you drop the file. I had already played the game in regular mode, but had to delete it and download it all over again. When the game finally opens, you have to go into game options, apply whatever VR system you’re using, and then restart the game.

just got it working Windows 11 December 31 2022. Using the - remove the entire game folder method. And using the MKlink CMD prompt.
