ibus-m17n is just the ibus engine. The m17n database is in m17n-db. Please could you check if it already contains sinhala languages? I ask this because according to 'urpmq -li m17n-db' it does.
Next days I'll upload on ABF ibus-sayura, scim-sayura and hunspell-si packages for testing purpose. I have already a local rpm I prefer you test if they really solve, if you could. Other packages seem less interesting for now.
Yes, Instaled ibus-m17n and
then went to system Settings > Regional settings > Input Method > Defalult

No Wijesekara keyboard.
I guess you need at least fcitx, fcitx-m17n, m17n-db, fcitx-qt4, fcitx-qt5, and kcm-fcit. I can see Sinhala in the list of Input Method you can add but I wasn't able to set it (I tested on live). I'm sorry I'm not a KDE guru. Because it's a matter of PLASMA configuration you may try to open a post on the forum for this.
If you can confirm unicode support for sinhala language is working now I'll close this bug.
Do I need to create a post in OpenMandriva forum too?
I apologize I was not so much clear before but as 'forum' I meant OpenMandriva forum because if other distributions have Sinhala in KDE it is a matter of configuration in OpenMandriva KDE. So I think OpenMandriva forum is the better place.
Have you tryed to play arount at System Settings > Input Devices > Keyboard > Layouts? I set up a sinhala keyboard layout in this way but I can't know if is the right layout.

fcitx support for Wijesekara
It may depend on what input method you are using. Because m17n provides support for Wijesekara, all input methods using it can, but only if the properly packages are installed.
For instance if you are using fcitx, you also need to install fcitx-m17n package.

That's strange. You may try to restart fcitx. Also you may use Tools > Input method (fcitx) from main menu. Then you may select layout from system try icon, even if with some (not KDE?) programs, for instance firefox, it seems it has not effect.

What I am not is n expert of PLASMA user but I think 'System Settings > Input Devices > Keyboard > Layouts' and 'Tools > Input method (fcitx)' from main menu have not the same effect on the system. You may try to disable 'Configure layout' in System Settings > Input Devices > Keyboard > Layouts' and use only Tools > Input method (fcitx) from main menu. Then you may selece layout from the system try.
I made all tests and shots with official 3.02 iso in live mode. If you have some times please try to use it so I can understand what are omdv issues ans what upstream ones.
Yes, lx3.03 is still in progress but will be released soon. However lx3.02 (as 3.03) it is not a different release from lx3.0 but just a bugfix release, so if you installed lx3.0 and update it you already have latest version. I used live because, as you mention, I am not sure fcitx is really working with a fully update system (but it may eventually be a separate bug). And I used lx3.02 because is the version you mention in your first post.

m17n-db should be a dependence of fcitx-m17n but in fact is not. So you may install it manually and restart fcitx (or the system) and please try again. This worked for me.

But Unicode layout is not working properly.

1 installation transactions failed
There was a problem during the installation:
file /usr/lib64/python2.7/site-packages/gtk-2.0/pynotify/_pynotify.so from install of python-notify-0.1.1-19.x86_64 conflicts with file from package python2-notify-0.1.1-20.x86_64

"That's strange. You may try to restart fcitx. Also you may use Tools > Input method (fcitx) from main menu. Then you may select layout from system try icon, even if with some (not KDE?) programs, for instance firefox, it seems it has not effect."
I tried it. 4 keyboard layouts shown. The layouts available previously.

Just remove python-notify and keep use python2-notify.

Hi, After latest updates (Last 2) fcitx does not work.
I disabled System Settings > Input Devices > Keyboard > Layouts and it is in default.
I checked this in openSUSE leap 42.1 same Keyboard list available. But no wijesekara layout.
I informed this issue to SUSE and Red Hat couple of months ago (eMail). But still no reply.

TPG added m17n-db as required to fcitx-m17n so just update the system should work

Don't know if it is or is not reasonable to get everything originally asked for in the bug report. However if Y'all get this to a point where we can put up RESOLVED/SOMETHING Pujitha Dimuthu and mandian should each get "Official OpenMandriva Issue Tracker Attaboy hats". Heck maybe t-shirts too.

This is against Lx 3 and no activity since 2017-10-06. Closing this one.
If this issue is still present please file a report against one of our current releases.
I am definitely not wanting to shut down anyone's work or issue. This is RESOLVED/INVALID only because Lx 3 is long since EOL.
