Review text editor is bad on multiple dimensions. It outputs superfluous tags, which are visible via the API and lacks useable functionality in the browser. We need LaTeX or at the very least MD. BibTeX integration would be nice. I need to be able to attach PDF and possibly other R/Py files.
Have you thought of importing GitHub gists or hackmdio documents? How about Overleaf projects? I don’t find it ridiculous to think that the review itself could be hosted on a preprint server or maybe on ResearchGate? I understand you want it version-сontrolled for Zenodo.
