Hi! These types of functions are difficult to verify and debug.
You can use macro functions in Calcpad with block conditions and loops or use inline conditions (if, switch) and inline loops $Repeat inside inline functions f(x).

As I mentioned in LinkedIn Calcpad works differently than Mathcad. You cannot use the same logic for both. For example, block conditions and loops can also split the report content which is very powerful and not possible in Mathcad. If you need a cheep Mathcad clone that imitate exactly the same behaviour, you can use SMath. :)

If I understood your question correctly, here is a possible way to implement it in a compact form. The function has inputs to define both the shape of the matrix and the limit for the conditional.

This function allows you to define a matrix y where its elements are calculated based on the conditions and the input parameters n$, m$, and a$. By calling y$(n$, m$, a$), you can easily generate different matrices according to your requirements.

Also you can use repeat function which is inline equivalent of for/loop.
