https://modrinth.com/mod/francium-optimization
https://modrinth.com/mod/fastboot
https://modrinth.com/mod/threatengl
https://modrinth.com/mod/collision-fix

What the mod does/reasoning:
krypton (pluto, foxified) optimises the Minecraft networking stack and is a bit similar to lithium
badoptimizations does small optimisations, some modpacks use it
people say that vmp might break datapacks
fastload is for not-recommended.md, might be redundant with modernfix
cull-less-leaves/cull-leaves/sodiumleafculling is for not-recommended.md too, redundant with moreculling
smoothboot/threadtweak or stutterfix is used to tweak thread scheduling, might get to not-recommended.md as forge port
fastanim didn't do a thing in my experience, it's for not-recommended.md
afaik feytweaks and fast-paintings/optipainting might be redundant with immediatelyfast, so it's for not-recommended.md
better-beds/fastchest are redundant with ebe, it's for not-recommended.md
afaik cullclouds and bedrodium are redundant with sodium, so it's for not-recommended.md
servercore adds several server optimisations
dashloader, blinkload and fastboot might be redundant with modernfix
faster-random looks good, although people say there are bugs that affect vanilla gameplay
entity-collision-fps-fix fixes MC-228976 (fixed in 1.19.3), though collision-fix tries to do this on 1.20+
hydrogen (or helium (forge port)) might be redundant with ferritecore
xenon is for not-recommended.md, same embeddium, but under different name
scalablelux is fork of starlight for modern versions
super-fast-math might break stuff, needs testing
cull-particles-multiloader is an updated version of old mod
leafculling does similar to optifine's smart leaves
shader-fixer does some fixes for different mods for shaders
have seen someone using flying-cullers
spark-unforged is a backport of spark, might be useful
dimthreads is an unofficial fork that assigns multiple dimensions independent threads
moonrise-opt might be in not-recommended.md as c2me
optimizationsandtweaks is incompatible with archaicfix
francium is similar to faster-random, but might not do a thing
threatengl doesn't do much, it's for not-recommended.md

  • [y] I have checked that the mod is not on any of the lists, including not recommended

I have already tested some of them;

https://modrinth.com/mod/fastload

Abandoned, and IIRC the 1.20.1 versions have some issues

https://modrinth.com/mod/cull-less-leaves

MoreCulling is better

https://modrinth.com/mod/fastanim

Doesn't do anything

https://modrinth.com/mod/feytweaks

Insignificant performance improvements

https://modrinth.com/mod/better-beds

EBE already does this

https://modrinth.com/mod/cull-leaves

Same as CLL (MoreCulling is better)

https://modrinth.com/mod/smoothboot-fabric
https://modrinth.com/mod/threadtweak

There's conflicting information as to whether these help or not. Sometimes there's an improvement, othertimes there's nothing: Fabulously-Optimized/fabulously-optimized#305

https://modrinth.com/mod/dashloader

Insignificant improvement when other performance mods are installed

https://modrinth.com/mod/fast-paintings

Very situational. Also, Fabulously-Optimized/fabulously-optimized#824

https://modrinth.com/mod/faster-random

Breaks Vanilla parity

https://modrinth.com/mod/fastchest

EBE already does this too

https://modrinth.com/mod/hydrogen
https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/hydrogen-reforged

FerriteCore is better

https://modrinth.com/mod/xenon-forge

Basically just Embeddium with bloat

https://modrinth.com/mod/cullclouds
https://modrinth.com/mod/bedrodium

Insignificant performance improvements

https://modrinth.com/mod/sodiumleafculling

MoreCulling is better

https://modrinth.com/mod/scalablelux

Only really "necessary" if you're running a large server and have a CPU with 32+ cores. The average player won't benefit from it.

https://modrinth.com/mod/super-fast-math

I'm pretty sure it's the same case as faster random, ie. breaks Vanilla parity

https://modrinth.com/mod/cull-particles-multiloader

Forge already does this since 1.16, so it's redundant on both Forge and NeoForge. Also I'm pretty sure Sodium and ImmediatelyFast (?) optimize particle rendering somewhat.

https://modrinth.com/mod/leafculling

Angelica already has a similar feature

https://modrinth.com/mod/blinkload

I don't think this will be significant when other mods (especially ModernFix are installed). Though I'll have to test it.

https://modrinth.com/mod/shader-fixer
https://modrinth.com/mod/spark-unforged

These are not performance mods

https://modrinth.com/mod/optipainting

Seems pretty situational, similarly to fast paintings.

https://modrinth.com/mod/dimthreads

Mods like this can be unpredictable when it comes to mod compatibility.

https://modrinth.com/mod/moonrise-opt

Incompatible with C2ME, but I'll have to test which one's better.

https://modrinth.com/mod/optimizationsandtweaks

Incompatible with Angelica

https://modrinth.com/mod/francium-optimization

Same as faster random

https://modrinth.com/mod/threatengl

Fake, all it does is replace the text in the F3 menu

I would recommend this mod - https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/flerovium

https://modrinth.com/mod/sodiumleafculling
MoreCulling is better

In my tests, I didn't see such a big difference between Sodium Leaf Culling and MoreCulling. But SLC breaks less resourcepack stuff.

I would recommend this mod - https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/flerovium

That mod can be more or less replaced by enabling mixin.perf.faster_item_rendering in ModernFix' settings. The other optimizations aren't that important.

Resource pack compatibility isn't the highest priority, but I do know that the custom item frame renderer in MoreCulling can break CIT. That said, it does more than just culling leaves, so I won't be replacing it.

I agree with your choice, as it's a trade-off of resourcepack compatibility for performance.

In my modpack I play with EMI and thanks to this mod I have no fps drop when opening inventory
And ModernFix didn't help me with that
