Description

Foremost, many thanks for a great PAD plugin, with quite unique features, such as creating a custom combo of keys and the ability to use Walk/Run option. Also, it's very nice that this PAD plugin work both on PSX and PS2 emulators.

To subject, as mentioned in the request, I would like to ask you to add additional keys, which will alter sensitivity of movement on fly.
Keys which will act similar as Walk/Run feature, but those additional keys must not be toggled.
Those additional keys should set a specific sensitivity value and hold it after key release, after another sensitivity key is pressed, it sets its unique value and so on.

Like this:

  • NumPad 1 - 100% Sensitivity
  • NumPad 2 - 80% Sensitivity
  • NumPad 3 - 60% Sensitivity
  • NumPad 4 - 40% Sensitivity
  • NumPad 5 - 20% Sensitivity

Reason

I understand that there are other possibilities and there are other PAD plugins which could be used to set various sensitivity settings.
But those options are not really convenient, since they would require usage of different movement keys for each sensitivity setup.

Like this:

  • WSAD - 100% Sensitivity
  • TGFH - 80% Sensitivity
  • IKJL - 60% Sensitivity
  • YUOP - 40% Sensitivity
  • ZXCV - 20% Sensitivity

That is not really convenient.

The reason, why I'm looking for such feature, is Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent, specifically release for Xbox, PS2, GameCube and Wii.
My initial encounter with Splinter Cell games was on PC and I totally like the way how devs implement the movement speed settings for that platform.
However, I tried to play with Game Pad, but it's really inconvenient for me, since this is a stealth game, the movement speed must vary, depending on surface, or surroundings, player need to be careful to not run, or move too fast near guards, if he doesn't want to get spotted.

Also, such feature could be helpful for different games, such as other Splinter Cell titles, those which are for PS2, Metal Gear Solid, Cold War and other games which are dependent on character movement speed.

Examples

In earlier Splinter Cell games, the Mouse Wheel Scroll was used to set five different speed values, with one Mouse Scroll applied, either Up or Down, speed got changed by one point:

  • Scroll Down - Decrease movement speed by one step and hold that speed setting
  • Scroll Up - Increase movement speed by one step and hold that speed setting

Each time single scroll step is applied, the speed got locked on the chosen value, also sensitivity setting applied instantly, even when the character is already moving, while holding any of WSAD direction keys.

I don't know if it could be possible to directly implement mouse scroll for changing movement sensitivity into this plugin.

In any case, any regular keyboard keys similar to those which I mentioned earlier in Description section, for changing speed values will be totally enough.

Cheers and thanks for your time^^
