Problem description

When loading the .c3p file, Construct 3 tries to open the project and loads it, but when clicking on something to move or perform any action, the program simply closes and displays an error. This bug has persisted for 6 days, and I am finishing a project to publish, but with this problem, it is impossible to proceed.

Attach a .c3p

Steps to reproduce
  1. Load the .c3p file in Construct 3.

  2. After loading, click on any object or element to move or edit.

  3. The program closes abruptly and displays an error.

Observed result

Construct 3 unexpectedly closes when trying to interact with the project after loading.

Expected result

The program was expected to load the project and allow normal interactions without crashing or closing.

Is this showing C3's error dialog? Or is the whole browser tab crashing?

Please follow the full bug report guidelines, such as attaching the affected project file, otherwise it's impossible for us to investigate. As it stands this issue is not actionable, so closing.

I'd note that if Construct crashes, normally it shows a crash dialog. If the browser is closing entirely, normally that would mean the browser crashed, not Construct, and therefore is beyond our control and something you'd need to report to the browser vendor. If multiple browsers are crashing it could be a sign of a system-level problem such as a driver problem, which is a common source of mysterious crash problems and unfortunately would also be beyond our control.
