Improve visibility of new website in search engines

Currently, https://www.sovereigncloudstack.org only appears on the 30th search result on Google. In order for new users to find the new website directly, we have to make sure that we are one of the first results.

Maybe there is something technical we can do to increase the relevance on Google.
Options might be:
(googed a bit about that, but i am not a SEO :-))

• Configure google search console
  • use google search console
  • upload sitemaps for both websites
• Add canonical tags on the old website

• Ask for external references, change websites which already link to the old website to the new website
