Check if a section of "addafter", "addbefore" (and similiar keywords) already exists in current extension object

Like the title suggests following case:

I tested it in a page extension. Can't tell if some similiar rule could apply to report extensions (having much done with those tbh - maybe some other can tell if that would make sense) or other extension object types.

Why? Would help at cleaning/refactoring the code, keeping it more structurized.
