[suggestion] A button to disable error display #355
Comments
We have no plans to add a way to disable this feature. You need to report the error to the mod developer. Just because mods seem to work fine doesn't mean they do- they might be broken in subtle ways. If we add a way to disable this feature, everybody that doesn't understand the importance of communicating errors to both mod developers and players will just turn it off. That is the exact opposite of what we want. |
But there are some mods, that only throw errors, when playing via steam remote play, which aren't necessary to fix. Everyone who doesn't understand the importance of communicating errors, won't communicate even with this message. The thing is, I like playing via Steam Link in my living room and always have to run to my office, to click on the message to hide it. |
I don't see how remote play could cause errors by itself, though, unless you mean the networktest co-op. Remote play is just streaming the game, there should be no operational difference. In any case, the solution is no different than any other error, Remote Play or otherwise. If you don't want to see them, report them and get them fixed. We are not budging on this. |
I don't really know how to use github. If I am doing this wrong please forgive me.
So I am a normal user and I can't understand what is this error stuff talking about and my mods works still well. But it popps out every time and it is annoying.
