After #34
and some technical testing

Questions

Theme: Where do inclusion gaps depend on the user's language? What can users, web content authors, and AT and platform developers do about the gaps?

I'm concentrating on these user needs:

  • Interacting in two well-supported languages, switching content language: from page to page or within a page, e.g. messages and posts
  • Same except one of the languages is not well supported in the assistive technology

In that context:

  • Any comments on Check for publicly-known JAWS issues and lesser-known features #34 issues and features?
  • Can you recommend documentation or support for the user needs scenarios?
  • For UI language and content language, how does the quality and quantity of languages compare across screen readers?
  • How is a new content language proposed and approved for JAWS? A new UI language?

A JAWS specific question: May I share the full list of languages? From FAQ:

JAWS is available in many languages, some of which are available from our download pages. Additional languages are also available from your local distributor in many countries.
