opencl backend?

is the code prepared/ready for adding an opencl backend to it?

if so, any high-level implementation plan would be welcome! i may give it a try.

now that NVIDIA also provides an opencl API for their cards...

you also have ecl-compute: "A DSL for SSE/CUDA computation in Embeddable Common Lisp."

how is this related to cl-gpu? is it duplicating some code/features?

maybe you have a standalone lib that implements the computation DSL? if not, would that be possible, and/or worth it?

please note that i also very much welcome if you just put the answer into the readme and then point me there. at least a 'status' and 'plans' section would be very helpful.

I haven't touched this in years, and likely won't in the foreseeable future... The ecl-compute thing is just something old.
