1. Import "GadgetLabs Love Team" certificate
(only needed once for a new Windows Installation)
32 bit ( Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 )
• This step is not needed for 32 bit systems.
64 bit ( Vista, Windows 7 )
• Go to 'Start' and select 'Run'.
• Enter 'certmgr.msc' and press enter.
• Expand 'Trusted Root Certification Authorities' -> 'Certificates'.
• Right click on 'Certificates' and select 'All Tasks'->'Import...'.
• At this time the 'Certificate Import Wizard' will open.
• Press 'Next'.
• Press 'Browse' and select the 'glt.cer' in GadgetLabs install package (Certificate folder).
• Press 'Next'.
• Select 'Place all certificates in the following store'.
• 'Certificate store' should be set to 'Trusted Root Certification Authorities'.
• Press 'Next'.
• Press 'Finish'.
• You should get a security warning at this point if you trust "GadgetLabs Love Team" certificate.
• Press 'Yes' and then 'Ok'.
2. Allow usage of test certificate
(only needed once for a new Windows Installation)
32 bit ( Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 )
• This step is not needed for 32 bit systems.
64 bit ( Vista, Windows 7 )
• Go to 'Start', expand 'All programs'->'Accessories' and select 'Command Prompt'.
• write 'bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING ON' and press enter
• 'The operation completed successfully.' should be returned.
• Restart the system! ... it wont work in other case
3. Install 'Visual Studio 2008 Redestributables' if it's not installed on your machine already
(only needed once for a new Windows Installation)
32 bit
• Go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=a5c84275-3b97-4ab7-a40d-3802b2af5fc2&displaylang=en
• Download and Install.
64 bit
• Go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=BA9257CA-337F-4B40-8C14-157CFDFFEE4E&displaylang=en
• Download and Install.
4. Install driver.
XP
• same old, same old
Vista
•
Windows 7
• Go to Device Manager... 'Start' and select 'Run'!!! (it only works in Run)
• Enter 'devmgmt.msc' and press enter.
• Expand 'Sound, video and game controller'.
• Right click on 'Multimedia Audio Controller' and select 'Update Driver Software...'.
• Select 'Browse my computer for driver software'.
• Browse to the 'Release' folder in GadgetLabs install package and press 'Next'
• ... maybe you'll have to confirm that you trust "GadgetLabs Love Team" :) ... anyway just proceed
5. Uninstall driver (Notice: All Gadgetlabs cards must be uninstalled at the same time!)
Close/Exit 'Gadgetlabs GUI' before proceeding with this step.
XP
• same old, same old
Vista
•
Windows 7
• Go to 'Start' and select 'Run'
• Enter 'devmgmt.msc' and press enter.
• Expand 'Sound, video and game controller'.
• Right click on '' and select 'Uninstall'.
• Check 'Delete the driver software for this device' and press OK.
... proceed with all other Gadgetlabs cards...
