What does 'show compress contents of folder items' do?

Hello, I am wondering what 'show compress contents of folder items' does? I haven't been able to figure that out by toggling the setting.

it adds the bottom two items to the Keka context menu in Finder.

Keka provides a button to get to the panel to enable the extension

You enable the Keka extension in Finder through System Settings > Privacy & Security > Extensions
