We’re using Discussions as a place to connect with the members of our community. We have categories to make topics easier to find:
Any member can:

1. Ask questions and share answers. Q&A 🙏
2. Show and tell. Share any projects you are working on or completed to make research software visible 🙌 ( tweet, post to drive traffic here and start a conversation)
3. Engage with other community members in the general chat 💬 this is specially for sharing events or news
4. Ideas 💡 if you want to start working on a project and you want to invite others to join this is the right place.

The co-hosts will use Announcements 📢 to share relevant information about connecting the community

Remember that this is a community we build together 💪.

The co-hosts will monitor the discussions and help moving discussion to the right category, if needed.
If you prefer to remain anonymous, you can also contact the co-hosts to do contributions for you.

How to use GitHub discussions
In order to add new topics of discussion or comment, first you need to be logged in to GitHub. Then, visit the group repository, section discussions. To add a "New discussion" click the green button. To "write" a comment, click on an existing discussion and add your comment. To be notified of activities in this group click the right top button "watch". Finally, if you only want to read the discussions you do not need to be logged in, discussions are public.
