Hi everyone,
I've put in a short abstract for presenting at the upcoming Research Support Community Day (Late June, QUT) - with the intention to show some early examples of software being published via UNSW's soon-to-be-released link-up between our Research Outputs System and our Institutional Repository. Happy to hear comments or ideas in advance of the event.
Thanks
Gerry
"In 2023 UNSW will be introducing a new link-up between its research outputs platform (ROS, based on Symplectic Elements) and its Institutional Repository (DSpace-UNSWorks). A key feature of this linkage will be the ability for UNSW researchers to upload and document a range of traditional and non-traditional research outputs into ROS, and have that output automatically deposited, and made public (with automatic DOI allocation) via the UNSWorks Institute Repository. In a drive to promote publication, visibility and discoverability of different research outputs, a number of exemplar records will be created. Key amongst these will be examples of software outputs, including research analysis scripts that will be deposited directly into the ROS/UNSWorks system, and software tools that will be published via the Github/Zenodo pathway, with a record of this software record's metadata subsequently captured into the Institutional Repository. Dissemination of these records via downstream discovery catalogues and services tied to UNSWorks will be presented."
