Code of Conduct 📜

Welcome to the MapSearchify project! We are committed to creating an inclusive and respectful environment where all participants can collaborate, learn, and grow. To foster a positive and productive community, we have established this Code of Conduct.

Our Pledge 💫

We pledge to make participation in our project a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

Expected Behavior 🙌

To maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment, we expect all members to:

  • Be Respectful: Treat all project members with respect and kindness. We encourage differences in opinion and experiences but always maintain a respectful tone.

  • Be Inclusive: Embrace diversity and ensure that your language and actions are inclusive, welcoming, and free of discrimination.

  • Show Empathy: Seek to understand others' perspectives and challenges. Offer support and empathy to those who need it.

  • Choose Your Words Carefully: Be mindful of your words and actions. Harassment and other exclusionary behavior are not acceptable.

  • Accept Accountability: Take responsibility for your actions and their consequences. If you make a mistake, admit it and seek to make amends.

  • Collaborate: Build a collaborative and supportive projects by working together, sharing knowledge, and helping others.

Unacceptable Behavior 🚫

The following behaviors are considered unacceptable in our project:

  • Harassment: Any form of harassment, bullying, or intimidation is strictly prohibited.

  • Discrimination: Discrimination or exclusion based on any characteristics mentioned in our pledge is unacceptable.

  • Hate Speech: Hate speech, derogatory comments, or any form of harmful or offensive language are not tolerated.

  • Unwanted Advances: Unwanted sexual advances, attention, or requests are considered harassment and are not acceptable.

  • Violence: Threats of violence or violent behavior will not be tolerated.

Reporting Violations 🚨

If you witness any violations of this Code of Conduct, please report them to the MapSearchify team at [email protected]. All reports will be kept confidential. We are committed to taking appropriate action in response to any violations.

Enforcement 🌊

The MapSearchify team is responsible for enforcing this Code of Conduct. They will take appropriate actions in response to violations, including warnings, temporary or permanent bans, and other corrective measures.

This Code of Conduct is inspired by the Contributor Covenant, version 2.0, available at [https://www.contributor-covenant.org/version/2/0/code_of_conduct.html].

We are dedicated to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all MapSearchify project members.
