Best way to replace imported files with a higher quality encode?

I'm taking advantage of the following query to deduce which MP3s I have that aren't up to snuff.

beet info format:MP3 bitrate:"..300000"

I have access to higher quality versions via Bandcamp. I want to replace the files, but I don't want to impact the added: tag. What's the best way to do this?
