Is it possible to add a sensor that would trigger when the cat looks through the door if it's locked outside? I noticed that surepetcare has that logged with something like "Leon looked through Front Door".
I would like to 'graylist' my cat, so that the door locks when he gets out and unlocks after some time when he's trying to get in again. This would prevent him to get in when he brings back some mice or other critters. He tries to get in with it, but if it's locked, he stays outside (and eats it?), without trying again to bring it in. After that, he can come in again. Works (kind of) like the graylist filter on a mail server that prevents a lot of automated spam. Like with spam, if he is hungry or just wants to get in, he will try again a few times, until I unlock (I have a camera mounted over the catflap, which I check beforehand).
(I would also automate the door to lock again after some time, if he doesn't try again, but returns a few hours later, perhaps with another mouse).

Request: get some alert if pet 'looks through the door'
Feature Request: get some alert if pet 'looks through the door'

hello, I also support this feature request. It would be enough for me to just add the time when this message came last to the attributes of each pets device_tracker. This way I could create a template sensor from this value. (I did the same with the position attribute, which changes the time each time the cat uses the flap, as the status (inside or outside) does not necessarily change, e.g. when the cat was going outside through the flap twice (and going inside through a door or window)...
With this status I could track in Homeassistant whether the cat is still around...
