The latest versions of ZoomISO and ZoomOSC have a behavior change in how the active speaker is determined. This impacts the ZoomISO active speaker output and the Companion module active speaker variable.

  • If you have a single person spotlighted, then the active speaker will always be the person spotlighted and not the actual active speaker.
  • If you have 2 or more people spotlighted, then the active speaker will be the actual active speaker
  • If you no one is spotlighted then the active speaker will be the person speaking

This has been reported to Zoom.
