install-name-tool

Extracted tool from Essentials.pkg OS X Mavericks.

Binary versions from otool

/usr/bin/install_name_tool:
/usr/lib/libxcselect.dylib (compatibility version 1.0.0, current version 1.0.0)
/usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib (compatibility version 1.0.0, current version 1197.1.1)

Supported OS X

  • Yosemite
  • Mavericks
  • Lion's family may be. i don't tested it.

Install

go to terminal and exec:
cd
git clone https://github.com/cinic/install-name-tool.git
cd install-name-tool
sudo mv install_name_tool /usr/bin/install_name_tool
