recursive add to summary?

in testing, this plugin appears to generate a summary of docs at the top level of my src directory but nothing in directories below. is this the intended behavior, or am i doing something wrong here? i see the code walks directories but am not familiar enough with rust to tell if it's supposed to recurse.
