Gallery page could be prettier

When I tried to add a carousel to this page, there was an annoying routing conflict between between the gallery page and it's intercepted modal route. Specifically, when you click on a "#" link to switch pages in the carousel, it pop's up the modal.

Possibly there's a workaround for this.
