Fonts highly aliased on Linux

Hi! I'm new to using beamer for presentations and this package looks ideal for the presentation side of things. However, when I open my pdf in dspdfviewer, the fonts are very pixelated; this is not the case when I use other pdf readers (like Okular). I'm making my presentation with XeLaTeX and system fonts, and it comes out quite nicely elsewhere. I'm using the current version (1.15) from the ubuntu repositories, running KDE Neon.

Any idea what might be going wrong? Thanks!

Can you share screenshots? I use this daily on Linux (Debian) and have not noticed any issues.
