Terribly slow in some browsers #5

Hello, I would like to ask if you know the problem I have here. It's the same situation than this one:
richardshepherd/Parallax-Scrolling#6

It works fine for Firefox and Safari (very smooth, indeed), but terribly slow in Chrome, Opera or IE. Any solution?
