How to modify the project for esp8266

Hello, first of all thank you very much for your project because following the crash of my old esp, impossible to reinstall it... I am new to VScode, would it be possible to create a quick little tutorial on how to correctly configure the project (example with wemos d1 mini clone) and how to send it to esp.

Hi,

the project is designed for a ESP32 and not for ESP8266. I have also used a lot of ESP8266 in the past and it is a nice piece of hardware. But the ESP32 is overall the better choice. Especially if you want to use a Webserver like I did.
I think you remember that the Websever on the ESP8266 with the madmartin/Jarolift_MQTT was not really stable and often I took a while until the page loaded.
So in the end, i would recommend to buy a "ESP32 D1 Mini" as a direct replacement for your old "Wemos D1 Mini Clone"

Ok thanks for your answer, otherwise I have free esp32 H2 at home, the pins being different, what do you advise me to use?

I haven't used the H2 for now, but I think this could also fit for the project.
