Comments
Hi, did you manage to get this working? |
Still seems to be an issue on PopOS 20.04 (5.11.0-7614-generic #15 |
Hi @jonneymendoza nope.. module packaging issue? if I run from CLI: installed: X-AppImage-BuildId=d91f7a10-cd61-11a7-0436-b31e66cb07a0 image: X-AppImage-BuildId=d91f7a10-cd61-11a7-0436-b31e66cb07a0 (mobster:493007): Pango-ERROR **: 11:26:00.437: Harfbuzz version too old (1.4.2) Anyone got around this issue ? |
I am also facing problem to install Mobster on Linux. I check the option allow it as executable, chmod etc and didn't work! |
Just tried now on Pop OS! 21.10 and I used I got asked if I want to integrate with my system and after I just get:
|
We have been struggling to install Mobster on Linux (completely fresh install of Ubuntu 20.04 LTS)
Could we please check how do we open the AppImage? (we have studied all of the docs yet it is not working as expected) we have tried just setting it as an executable and double clicking.. nothing happens..
We have tried:
$ chmod +x Mobster-0.0.48-x86_64.AppImage
$ ./Mobster-0.0.48-x86_64.AppImage
(AppImageLauncher:69775): GLib-CRITICAL **: 14:45:21.201: g_file_test: assertion 'filename != NULL' failed
Directory '/home/leigh/.local/share/mime/packages' does not exist!
[14:45:41.501] [info] Running version 0.0.48
(mobster:70207): Pango-ERROR **: 14:45:41.527: Harfbuzz version too old (1.4.2)
Why are we seeing this issue?
What is the correct software to open it with, should we use with Disk Image Mounter? (If we do, we just see 3 files in there now - usr AppRun and mobster.desktop) how do we run these? We love this software but it's very tricky to get running on Linux! I've posted here for anyone else struggling with, if you could please help? Thanks!
