Ideas:

create an abstract base class "FileStorage" that has two implementations: LocalFolder and GitRepo. This abstracts away the git-based if in main. MetadataExtractor and SitemapParser can be used as templates.
factor out OpenTelemetry setup, argument parsing and config file reading,
