Is it possible to convert watts to kilowatts?

Hi all,

I've enabled the watt_threshold option within the configuration. Which works great and converts sensors that report in kW to W if the value is <1kW.

Is it possible to do the same when the source sensor reports in W if the value is ≥1000W, converting to kW?

Those are two different things.

The card converts sensors that report their state in kW into W, no matter what.

What the watt_threshold option does is see if the state of each power source is above that threshold, and if it is, converts the value that is displayed into kW.

If you want your card to display the power in kW, no matter their state, set watt_threshold to 0.
If you want your card to display the power in W, set watt_threshold to something very large, like 10000.

Hmmm okay. I have watt_threshold set to 1000 and sensors that report in W are never converted to kW, even if the current value is >1000.

I'm currently running v0.0.9.6, but I have plans to upgrade to v0.1beta. Has anything relating to this changed in the beta? Thanks.

The two individual cards are in watts (W) and do not convert to kW, as you can see on the Eddi.

That is because you have setup their unit_of_measurement to "W". Try removing that line for both individual devices.

Aha, that's fixed it. I assumed unit_of_measurement was purely a string to add after the number. Thank you!
