Looks like this was added last week into pywhispercpp - we may have to wait for the next release: absadiki/pywhispercpp@fc237a2

Given that we now use mlx_whisper instead (see #79), this will be on hold. If there is no reason to keep pywhispercpp in the project, I suggest we remove it completely to avoid having to maintain it - it should be fairly easy to integrate back later if word-level timestamps are improved and language detection is supported.
