Not major issues, but something which wasted some of my time and which I'd like to save others from.
So the getumbrel.com website recommends a "1TB+" Crucial SSD. Since I have some ambitions for running other apps on my Umbrel device and since I could afford it, I bought the 4TB version of the Crucial SSD linked to on getumbrel.com install instructions. It turns out that the 4TB drive draws too much power for my Raspberry Pi 4 model B to support. After finally figuring out the root cause I had to return it for the 2TB version, which works just fine. I would suggest adding a footnote that the Raspberry Pi has trouble supporting larger drives and is only known to work with the 2TB and smaller versions of that drive. And, notably, since the Raspberry Pi has a max power load shared across ALL usb devices, one might want to opt for the 1TB drive if they have other things they plan on plugging in.
I also ran into trouble with the SD card. I opted for the largest SD card available for future-proofing purposes, and I ended up getting a counterfeit instead. Slow as all hell, took forever to boot, and constantly locked up. I returned that and got the exact model linked to by getumbrel.com (Samsung PRO Endurance 32GB) and this time got the genuine article and it is nice and speedy. Reading about this online, it seems that only the larger capacities are subject to counterfeiting, so I would recommend clarifying the "16+ GB microSD" recommendation. Smaller is better in this case, as long as it is at least 16GB. Or buy direct from Samsung.
