Add a 'Mark as Read' button #57
Comments
What would happen to items that have been marked as read? A simpler approach would be to change the appearance of posts that have been opened already, perhaps by making the title a lighter colour. |
I expect them to be gone from 'New' and get icon a small icon in the corner or greyed out on Feeds view, for instance |
But you'd need a way to see what you've read in the past, and we don't have a "Read" section anymore... |
This adds a mark readu/unread togle buttons and wires it to mark-read and mark-unread funcs. The unread function is not yet implemented. Fixes ignatenkobrain#57

Just to be clear - my preference would be to do something similar to email clients - unread posts could have titles in bold, or we could slightly grey out articles that have already been read. This is simpler than having a separate section for read articles, it avoids potential mistakes or confusion ("why can't I find that article that used to be here?"), and it avoids the app turning into a source of pressure to read everything. |
While don't have automatic 'mark as read' we should add a button for this to the toolbar
