Description

TiDb support has been deprecated upstream, but is part of the general architecture of RPC 2.0.

The goal of this task is to review its use cases in the overall design, and assess whether we want to keep it as part of our fork.

As this feature never reached a production stage we are just going to drop its support following upstream changes.
