Setup a journey description with only a zip code not possible

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Setup an jQuery UI Map gmap('displayDirections') – see "Example 
displayDirections" on https://code.google.com/p/jquery-ui-map/wiki/Examples
2. Search only with a zip code (tested with german zip code like 60596)
3. Look at the response, no result where found. If you add a city: f.e. 60596 
Frankfurt am Main you get a result

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
> It should be possible to search a direction only with a zip code.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
